After months of speculation, internet rumors, and even Publishers threatening to jump ship, Sony has finally dropped the price of its PS3 console. Shaving $100 off the price-tag, the new $299 price, is of course, a welcome piece of news to those that have been waiting to get a PS3.And to top that with a proverbial cherry, the other rumors of a PS3 redesign are also true. Sony has officially confirmed the PS3 Slim, sizing in 33% smaller, and 36% lighter (and for the green in all of us; uses 34% less power).
The new system sports a 120gb hard drive, but otherwise the same old features as before; which if you don't already have a PS3, I suppose are new features.
