Divoom releases the Airbeat-10, a compact speaker chock full of mounts

Divoom has provided us with another Bluetooth speaker to check out, this time around we have received the Airbeat-10. This speaker brings to the table such features as being splash proof, offers multi purpose mounts, and packs six hours of juice in a small package. By multipurpose, Divoom makes it possible to use suction cup mount in the bathroom or a bike mount to listen while riding. Now that the speaker has been fixed to my bathroom wall for a week, let's see how it did.
The Airbeat-10 holds it's own for a small single driver speaker, but the small stature makes the speaker very inconspicuous. The is a great speaker for the bathroom or bicycle as it is big enough to be heard over the shower or the breeze but small enough to still be inconspicuous. The included mounts are great as a number of Bluetooth even speakers out there charge extra for additional accessories. It is also durable and splash proof so there is no worries about dropping or getting wet, you know as long as you don't submerge it jumping your bicycle into a pool or large body of water.

Being both small and affordable, the Divoom Airbeat-10 is a solid investment for someone that is looking for more sound from your phone whether getting ready for work or an exciting night out or just taking a leisurely bike ride. This may not be the best wireless speaker for filling large rooms but it is perfect to take on the go, travel, and/or shower with. Divot’s Airbeat-10 is available now in red, white, blue, or black and is available to purchase now through online retailers.

Boombox REX clips to go in Mashbuttons review

Next up is a tough little Bluetooth speaker that was provided to me by Boombotix, from the Boombot collection, comes the REX. REX is a compact and portable speaker that sports a hexagonal design and a clip on the back to take on the go. The Boombot REX is a redesigned version of the previously released T-Boombot REX, but this build adds 50% more battery life, side mounted ports and buttons, along with a more portable and ergonomic design. Now that the details are out of the way, it is time to see how this uniquely shaped speaker performs.
First off, the REX is a much better design than it’s predecessor as the side buttons and input are easier to access, and being that it includes a higher capacity battery, it results in charging less often. Dual 36mm drivers deliver stereo sound and the accompanying radiator adds depth to compete with some of the larger and less portable speakers.  The feature in which I didn’t think I was going appreciate became my favorite feature, the clip on the back.  It clips easily to my pocket or belt, but clipped to my laptop bag strap is where the REX will stay. The sound quality provided by Boombotix Bluetooth speaker crisp and loud for its small stature, unfortunately the passive subwoofer does little for the mid and low range.

All in all, the Boombot Rex is a great speaker to take your music with you on the go or add volume to a small room. The Strong clip and water-resistant build really allows it to be taken anywhere and if headphones are not your things but personal audio is a must, then the might REX fits the bill. The Boombot REX is available now in assortment of colors for the price of $99.99 from the Boombotix store.

Divoom's Voombox sheds weight and adds portability with the Travel

Divoom, manufacturer of numerous compact Bluetooth speakers, has provided me with their latest life proof speaker that is small enough to go virtually anywhere. The Voombox Travel as it is so appropriately named takes the original Voombox, and dramatically reduces it in size to be taken more places with little to no additional effort. This palm sized speaker sports a clip to be added onto a belt loop or backpack and water resistant design to brave the elements. The palm sized travel speaker has piggybacked on my laptop bag for a week; it is now time to break it down.
This pint-sized powerhouse blows me away, as I was expecting the single speaker personal sound, but experienced music that easily sounded better than most of the speakers twice its size. The size is great as it really fit in my palm and was not uncomfortable or bulky whether clipped to my bag or belt loop. Being an on the go speaker is not its only trick as it was just as at home clipped on my pool volleyball net and was surprisingly loud enough to fill the pool with tunes. Most Bluetooth speakers have a bass radiator with little added sound but the Voombox Travel’s radiator makes a huge difference to the depths of sound it reaches.
In the end, this speaker was more than what I was expecting as it had more range than those with twice the components and power. The durability is a huge reason to go everywhere as the speaker is built to take a beating and be worry free, and it does that in spades. The best part is the price point as it enters the market with half the size, parts, and price while outperforming the majority of those out of their class making this a recommended purchase to anyone in the market of a small wireless speaker to have on them most anywhere. The Divoom Voombox Travel is available now in an assortment of colors for the price of $49.90.

Buckshot is Outdoor Tech's light artillary

I have gotten my next product from Outdoor Tech, the same folks that previously provided me with the Turtle Shell wireless speaker, this go round we have the ultra portable Bluetooth speaker that is designed and named after a shotgun shell. The Buckshot is small enough to easily tote around, targeted for bicycle users with included handlebar mount, and built to withstand the elements, keeping smartphones and MP3 players out of harms way. I have seen and reviewed a number of the ultra portable wireless Bluetooth speakers, but what makes Outdoor Tech’s stand out is the design with a stealthy look and rugged build quality. It is time to see how the pocket sized Buckshot compares to it’s bigger sibling, the Turtle Shell.

Out of the box, I would have to say I like the look of the Buckshot most as it does not take much space, being the size and shape of a shotgun shell. The solo speaker is wrapped in rubber shock proof coating  which makes me worry less about it rolling of my desk or workbench, but the part part would have to be the battery life as it stays charged for up to 16 hours allowing for less frequency in being connected to a charger and forgetting to charge. Lastly, if you are someone that lives in a bicycle friendly area, the Buckshot is awesome because of the bike mount (glorified rubber band), it is easy to strap the speaker to the handlebars and listen to music without blocking out surrounding noises. Another safety feature would be  the controls, no fumbling for a ringing phone as the controls for calls, music, and volume come in the form of three onboard buttons. The downside in my experience was the sound, it gets rather loud but with just one small speaker, there wasn’t much depth, and depending on where you ride your bicycle, it can be difficult to hear.

The Buckshot is an amazing portable speaker that is easy to take on the go, even in my pocket, to provide added sound on the go or around the house and pool that can also take a beating. The only things that this little speaker is missing are the ability to charge my phone from it, the lack of colors, and the option to chain two Buckshots together in stereo to really disturb the peace. The boisterous bullet is great at providing additional sound over the weak onboard pc/phone/tablet speaker to any mobile workspace and the ability to strap onto a bike almost motivates me to commute to work via bicycle...almost. Outdoor Tech’s Buckshot is available now in black for the price of $49.95.
