Rogue Warrior is upon us

What do you get when you cross Richard ‘Dick’ Marcinko, with Mickey Rourke’s voice?  You get THIS GUY, the Rogue Warrior.

December, for the most part, is looking like a fairly bleak gaming landscape due to most of the heavy-hitters landing in time for the early holiday sales, and Sam Fischer’s latest got pushed till March, so what sort of sneaking around and killing will you be doing now that you’ve played Modern Warfare 2 for the 13th time?  Please direct your attention to Rogue Warrior, the latest to be published from Bethesda Softworks, and developed by Rebellion.

You’ll jump into the role of real-life bad-ass Richard “Demo Dick” Marcinko, who was a legend in his service with the Navy Seals (amongst other roles), and infiltrate the iron curtain to uncover a suspected North Korean ballistic missile program.  Of course, this wouldn’t be an espionage thriller without a little conspiracy thrown in.  So there’s that too…

Lucidity launch trailer and screens

As we just posted, you can go to XBLA today and get your game-on with two new titles.  Given the abstract nature of Lucas Arts' Lucidity, we thought we'd post the official launch trailer and some screens so that you can check, check it out for yourself.

There is no time - Arkham Asylum awaits!

Since earlier this year, we've written countless posts (11) consisting of countless words (1700+) hyping the game that no one saw coming (are we kidding?).

Batman appears as if it's going to be a hit (review forthcoming); so a sleeper it is not, however it's a bit surprising that a licensed game by a relatively unknown developer is getting as much attention as it is.

Good for them - the game IS awesome - be sure to come back soon for a full review.

So without any further words, Batman: Arkham Asylum is available today at your favorite retailer for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Things to do on 8/14 | Madden

So apparently there's this game coming out today, some sports thing, something to do with a tear-shaped ball, that's tossed arond a field of sorts - I think they call it Football. There's usually some running, some hitting, it's apparently a real man's game.

For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, please direct your attention to the release of EA's Madden NFL 10. Apparently this is a BIG deal to millions of football fans across the globe. Personally, I'm looking forward to going to a Ponyo/Time Travelers Wife double-feature tonight.

All kidding aside, it really is the beginning of the gridiron season, the "Fight for Every Yard", the road to the big game, not only on the videogame front, but we're already into the first week of Pre-season for the NFL.

Madden NFL 10 (actually the 21st iteration of the game, not the 10th), continues the tradition of the most realistic NFL experience on any console, cause they're the ONLY NFL experience on any console. Either way - it's out, you want it, go get it.

Madden NFL 10 is available now on Xbox 360, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Wii, and PSP. Will also be on the App Store in September for all of you who want to take it on the road.
