Disney Universe Trailer and Screens | E3 2011

As promised, we'd be back with more individual posts about the unique line-up of games from the Disney camp this year. Three specifically are high up on our radar, but we've saved the next few lines of white-space for the likes of Disney Universe.  Unveiled at E3 2011, this all new property, at first glance, sounds like some sort of casual MMO or something along those lines. But in reality, it feels more like Disney versions of the ever-popular LEGO series of family-friendly titles.  In fact, I believe players will feel right at home in the easily approachable genre, that's also good pull for more mature gamers.  I'm a huge Disney fan, and after playing through with some quick drop-in coop (same screen); with the Disney folks, I immediately added it to my wishlist.  I love when a game comes out o left-field that you just didn't expect, and quickly finds a place atop the (ever growing) list of titles upcoming.

Disney Universe mixes Characters and worlds from various animated and live-action Disney movies, such as The Lion King, Tron, Monsters Inc, and others as you explore their unique themed worlds.  You can collect and be different characters throughout as well and pull from their respective repertoire of special moves and animations, all infused with that trademark Disney fun and life.

Embedded below is the launch trailer of the new series from Disney Interactive Studios.  The title will be available this Fall for Xbox, PlayStation, Wii, and PC/Mac.

Blur gets Facebook integration, some retail bonuses and

We're just a few days away from the release of Bizarre Creation's latest racer, Blur (May 25th), and we have a few more pieces of information and a new trailer for you to gaze upon before you pick up your copy.

First up is the new Blur - Facebook integration.  As you'll see in the screenshot below, Blur has partnered up with Facebook to offer a seamless "share" button, allowing players to send game challenges to friends, uploading in-game pictures stats, etc.  Sounds like I'll have to get ready to "hide" updates from Blur on my news feed.  I suppose it's not that bad, but these days, everything is integrated with Facebook.  Next frontier, Facebook-enabled kitchens!

Next up, is some retail purchase bonuses.  In a surprising move, if you purchase your games from Kmart, or SEARS, (the FIRST choice(s) for your video game needs) you're in for some treats; you'll gain immediate access to a chromed-out BMW 1 Series, shown below.  If that doesn't get you to don a bullet-proof vest to brave a trip to Kmart, or find a SEARS, I don't know what will!

Last up is the latest trailer for Blur showcasing the titles team gameplay modes.

EA's latest MMA trailer hits some buttons

If my son was kidnapped, and the only possible ransom was for me to think of the most appropriate gift for my friend Mike's birthday (not all kidnappers want money!), then I think I'd be okay.  Coming up with 10 Million dollars, (in unmarked, non-consecutive bills, of course) is quite an undertaking, but having to get someone a gift that fits their personality, their style, and fills a gap in their life they never even knew they were missing, is actually...well, can I get a loan?

Coming out of EA's Season Opener event held last week, is the release of the latest trailer of their upcoming MMA game.  We've posted that here for you to enjoy.  And by "you" I mean "Mike".  So come on in and enjoy the latest video.  Oh, I posted some screenshots for you as well.  And by "you" I mean "everyone".

Unfortunately, they've put a "Late 2010" release date on this one, so Mike, I'm sorry, this may be more of a Hanukkah gift...and sorry Son, as it looks like you and Mr Stranger will have a little more bonding to do.

The latest Aliens vs. Predator trailer will kill you | metaphors

For obvious reasons, the title of this blog is not true.  No trailer can actually kill someone.  Oh crap, unless it's an ACTUAL 18-Wheeler jack-knifing towards you and there's no runaway truck ramp to stop it.  In that case, yes, a trailer can kill you.

We, however, are referring to the latest trailer from SEGA's upcoming Aliens vs Predator from developer Rebellion. Check it out below!

Alien vs Predator is available February 16th on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.  Pre-order and save!

Final Fantasy XIII International Trailer, Leona Lewis Video, or BOTH?

Square Enix has just seen fit to release their latest trailer for their upcoming Final Fantasy XIII.  This time it's the International Trailer, so don't get TOO upset when you see the release date as 09-03-2010 towards the end, as it's really March 9th, 2010.  Yes, it's true that those across the pond read their dates differently.  Though it's mostly cut-scenes, with some gameplay sprinkled in, check out the Leona Lewis music video trailer below.

Final Fantasy XII is available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 9, 2010.  Will you be there?

Who you gonna call? Xbox, Wii, both?

Call it a guilty pleasure, but I love seeing anything Ghostbusters in the subject line of e-mails from Atari. I wake up this morning and see the debut trailer for the Ghostbusters: The Video Game for the Wii.

Even though I have a Wii, the only game that has been in it for the past four months is Boom Blox, with the exception to House of the Dead: Overkill for a brief couple of weeks, this trailer may bring me back to the hours of enjoyment that I haven't had since Super Mario Galaxy.

After seeing this trailer for the Wii Ghostbusters game, I am torn as to whether this will be played on my Wii or the 360...decisions, decisions, decisions. Both?

Fez - Unveiling and Release Date (window)

Now this certainly looks fun guys. Guys? Where'd ya go? No, this isn't a re-make of Echochrome from the PSN/PSP, though one would be hard pressed to say they didn't take some of the gameplay cues from them.

Embedded here, you'll find the latest trailer for Fez, the game that's "not quite sure what dimension it wants to live in"

Of course the official description of the game is "Gomez is a 2D man on a voyage of discovery into the mysterious 3rd dimension". I like mine better, Polytron you may use it.

Anyhow, check it out, it looks pretty trippy. Unfortunately, it's not been confirmed which platforms this will come to...that makes me sad :(
