Super Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Turbo HD Remix?

I just stumbled upon an interview with videogamer.com and Capcom's Christian Svensson, VP of Business Development and Strategic Planning. Little to my surprise, the fighter/comic fanboy wet dream was brought up, Marvel vs Capcom 2.

The fighter crossover that was was originally released to the XBox in 2002 has a large fanboy following and since the release of the 360, the question has come up numerous times as to whether we would see a sequel, XBLA release, or XBox original download. Well the people at Capcom must find it amusing to tease us with bringing up the game in interviews and not providing with a solid yes or no, however, fans of the series have found that the ESRB had earlier rated the game for both the XBox 360 and PS3.

From the interview, Svensson, does state that a sequel has large barriers to overcome but says that they are far from done making HD remixes. What this means is don't hold your breath for a sequel but you may want to hold your breath for a remix, but keep in mind how long we had to wait for SSF2THDR.

Until then, there is always the trusty Dreamcast version, the buggy XBox version on the 360, or the PS2 version to tide you over until this fighter rises again.
